We have created this club as a way for area horse enthusiasts to make connections, share information, find riding buddies, plan group trail rides, special events and more!
We want to make our region more equestrian-friendly, find new trails to ride and take advantage of what our area has to offer to locals and visitors alike.

Find a Trail
Here's a list of trails to ride in the Sleeping Bear region:
1. Alligator Hill Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park

Trail averages 4-6 miles.

Park Pass required

MUST use the West Loop lot for trailer parking, off Stocking Rd.

Facilities (outhouse) available at trail head

Best Route: The Advanced trail (follow the markers)

What to Expect: Lots of elevations changes, different habitats from meadow to deep forest, slightly rocky/pebbly in spots, stunning views overlooking Sleeping Bear Bay and Big Glen Lake, NO motorized vehicles but you will encounter hikers and dogs.

2. Garey Lake Campground Trails

State campground designated for equestrians, with highlines, open year round. Recreational pass required. Day use is permitted, limited facilities

On the Michigan Shore to Shore Trail

Can ride out in multiple directions, so good for a couple days of riding

Mostly non-motorized but may encounter hikers, dogs, bikes and ATVs. You may also encounter other campers

What to Expect: Beautiful scenery, lots of habitats, small lakes, elevation changes, sand/dirt trails mostly

3. Lake Dubonnet Campground Trails

A DNR site managed by Interlochen State Park

Located on the Michigan Shore to Shore Trail
